Many companies have simply filled the pool in with dirt, and the ground becomes a giant sponge that never goes away. The yard constantly sinks, holds water after every rain, and the problem does not age out, it is permanent until someone digs the whole thing back up and does it right. If a pool is coming out, it needs to be a full demo. The other way is incorrect, and we will never offer that service.
What a Full Removal Looks Like
We break out and remove the entire pool, walls, floor, and deck, and haul all of it off site. Then we backfill in lifts and compact with the machine. Our machine weighs 30,000 pounds, that is more compaction than any house pad ever receives before a house is built on top of it. When we leave, the ground is stable, dry, and genuinely build-ready, not a soft spot with grass on it.
What Drives the Price
- Pool size and depth. More concrete and more shell means more machine time and more loads to haul.
- The deck. Pool decks add real tonnage, and a deck poured over an older deck is double concrete you cannot see from the surface.
- Access. A wide side yard lets the machine work fast. Tight access, fences, and screen enclosures add time.
- Fill. The hole gets backfilled with clean fill, compacted in lifts, and graded off.
