Rough is fine. The walkthrough confirms it.

Your ballpark range

$7,000 to $10,000

What this assumes

  • Small single-story house, about 1,200 sq ft or less: $7,000 to $10,000.
  • Turn-key: permit, utility disconnect coordination, teardown, haul-off, rough grade, and final county inspection close-out.
  • Permits are running 3 to 6 weeks in Central Florida, and Orange County is the slowest of the four counties we work in. We file the day you sign.
  • Teardown itself is 5 to 6 hours of machine time on a small house and 2 to 3 days on a larger or heavy-foundation one. Start to finish, plan on 4 to 8 weeks including the permit.

This is a ballpark built from what our own jobs have cost. Only a walkthrough gives a firm price.

Calculator Questions

How accurate is this demolition cost calculator?

It is a ballpark built from what our own jobs have actually cost. A small single-story house runs $7,000 to $10,000 and a larger or two-story house runs $10,000 to $14,000. A walkthrough is the only way to get a firm written price, and it is free.

What does the house demolition price include?

Our house prices are turn-key: the permit, utility disconnect coordination, teardown, haul-off, rough grade, and the final county inspection close-out.

How much does concrete or driveway removal cost?

Concrete and driveway removal is $2 per square foot with a 500 square foot minimum, so roughly $1,000 minimum. Thick or doubled concrete can add around $2 per square foot.

How much does it cost to remove a pool?

Full pool removal runs $9,500 to $30,000 depending on pool size, deck, and backyard access. That includes demo, haul-off, backfill in lifts, compaction, and the permit.

Do you fill in pools instead of removing them?

No. We only do full removal. A partial fill-in leaves a buried shell, and the yard sinks and holds water until someone digs it up.

How much does it cost to demolish a commercial building?

Commercial buildings run $8 to $10 per square foot. Commercial permitting takes 1 to 3 weeks and runs $900 to $5,000 in county fees.

How long does the permit take?

Permits are running 3 to 6 weeks in Central Florida. Volusia, Lake, and Seminole are faster, and Orange County is the slowest of the four. We file the day you sign.
