The permit is filed online through Citizenserve, is good for 30 days once issued, and must be pulled by a licensed general, building or residential contractor, so owner-builders cannot pull it. The plan has to show the building, every utility being cut, and any pool or septic tank coming out. In the downtown, Sanford Avenue and residential historic districts, the Historic Preservation Board must issue a Certificate of Appropriateness first, and an approved demolition waits 180 days. Removing any living tree takes an arbor permit. Debris goes to the Seminole County Landfill on Osceola Road in Geneva, and our own trucks carry every load there.
