Pool Demolition & Excavation
in Deltona, FL
Many pools we take out in Deltona went in with the houses from the original Deltona Lakes build-out, and after decades of Florida sun they leak, crack or just are not used. We remove the shell, haul it off, backfill with clean material and compact it so the yard is solid. Full removal runs $9,500 to $30,000 with the permit included.

Pool Demolition & Excavation done right
Full pool removal or fill-in: we remove the shell, backfill with clean material, and compact so the ground is stable and usable. We also excavate for pool companies that need the hole dug before the shell goes in. Insured and owner-operated, so the people who quote your job are the people running the machines. How it works
Getting pool demolition & excavation done in Deltona
Survey, scope and permit
We gather the site survey Deltona wants, write the scope of work and file the demolition permit. The pre-demo plumbing, electrical and gas inspections get booked before any machine shows up.
Silt fence, drain, break out
Silt fence goes up, the pool is drained and the shell is broken out and loaded. Concrete leaves on our trucks for the county transfer station, so nothing sits on the lot.
Backfill and ready for final
Clean fill is placed in compacted layers and graded to drain. The area is set up for sod or seed, which Deltona wants in place before the final inspection closes the permit.
The Mintel Difference
Owner-operated.
Every job.
No renting equipment after the handshake. No cheap subcontracted labor. We own and run our own fleet of machines, so the people who quote your job are the people on the controls.

Pool Demolition & Excavation · Deltona
Deltona pools from the first build-out
The Deltona Lakes development got its start in 1962, and a good share of the shells we break out here date from the decades that followed. An older pool has more surprises than a new one: patched cracks, past resurfacing layers, plumbing that was rerouted over the years, and a deck that may have settled. We look at all of that during the walkthrough so the price covers what is really there.
Most owners who call us are tired of paying to keep a pool running that nobody swims in, or they want the yard back for a patio, garden or room for kids and dogs. Some want to sell without a buyer asking about a pool that needs work. Whatever the reason, we explain the difference between a full removal and a partial fill-in so the decision is yours, made on facts.
How Deltona's permit shapes the job
Deltona does not publish a separate pool removal checklist, so a pool job here runs under the city's demolition permit through the Building Services Division at 2345 Providence Blvd. That permit asks for a site survey showing every building, pool, septic tank and well on the lot, a written scope of work, pre-demolition plumbing, electrical and gas inspections, and silt fence up before work begins.
The finish line matters too. Deltona's final inspection comes once the debris is gone and the lot is sodded or seeded, so we plan the backfill and final grade with that in mind. The broken concrete goes to Volusia County's West Volusia Transfer Station or the Tomoka Landfill at $41.09 a ton, and that fee is in our price. You do not get a separate disposal bill.

“We contacted Kyle in hopes that he would be able to remove a very large pine stump from our back yard and grade the area after removal. He was above and beyond helpful and even cleared the vacant property lines on both sides of our property! He was very professional and respectful of our property, he was on time and his prices were very reasonable for the work performed. We will definitely be using his services in the future for our driveway widening project and any other future projects. 6 stars, I highly recommend using Mintel Land Management.”

Deltona FAQ
Common questions
- My Deltona survey is from when the house was built. Is that good enough for the permit?
- It may be, if it still shows what is on the lot today. Deltona's demolition permit wants a site survey showing every building, pool, septic tank and well. If you have added a shed, a screen room or a new driveway since that survey, we will talk about whether an update is needed before we file.
- Who puts down the sod after the pool is gone?
- Deltona's final inspection happens once debris is gone and the lot is sodded or seeded. We grade the backfilled area so it is ready, and we can arrange sod or seed as part of the job, or leave it for your landscaper if you prefer. Just tell us at the walkthrough so the price reflects it.
- Can you remove the pool and the screen enclosure in the same visit?
- Yes. Taking the enclosure down first gives our machine room to work and saves a second trip. The aluminum framing and screen go out with the rest of the debris. If you want to keep the enclosure for a patio, we can work under it on many layouts, but it slows the job down.
- What does pool demolition & excavation cost in Deltona?
- A fill-in is faster and cheaper; a full removal excavates the whole shell, backfills with clean material, and compacts it so you can build or sell over it. We do both and will tell you which fits. Every property is different, so the only honest number is one we give you after walking the site. Call 407-443-2863 for a free, no-obligation estimate in Deltona.
